Creation of BRM Chronographes
BRM Chronographes was launched in 2003. Since then, it has continued to break the traditional codes ofWATCHMAKING. The leitmotiv of this Parisian company is to create atypical objects, outside existing codes. Bernard Richards has always been passionate about motor sports, andWATCHMAKING is the perfect way for him to express this love. In 2004, he met Jean-Paul Crabbe and the two men began a beautiful collaboration. Together, they set out to create unique, hand-crafted creations inspired not only by the automobile, but also by golf.
BRM Chronographs watches
All BRM watches have a sleek look and a powerful, racing-inspired character. All are equipped with Swiss movements. Bernard Richards assembles BRM cases in the Paris region.
Movements B.R.M Chronographs
Some models are equipped with in-house manufactured movements based on an existing Swiss movement. Others feature a movement completely machined in-house to resemble a car engine as closely as possible.
The isolastic principle and the nesting circle
The isolastique principle is a safety system registered by the Manufacture, which consists of mounting the flexible movement on carbon arms. These arms are held under pressure in the casing circle by springs, isolating the movement from possible shocks. A promise of durability and resistance.
The materials used
BRM uses beautiful materials to ensure high precision. Carbon is used for dials and cases, and is both resistant and lightweight. Titanium is also a key material for cases, crowns, cones, screws, backs and buckles. In addition to being stainless, it is light and strong. The Manufacture also uses Fortal HR® for watch backs and shock absorbers. It's a kind of hard, waterproof aluminum that allows light machining while retaining good resistance. Bronze, Makrolon®, sapphire crystal and stainless steel are other materials appreciated by the brand.
